New York Airport Service Express Bus, Tel. (718) 875 8200, departs to Grand Central Terminal (Vanderbilt Ave. and 42nd Streets) in the Midtown Manhattan/East Side area every 20–30 minutes between the hours of 7:20 am and 11 pm. Rides are $12 per passenger and take about 45 minutes depending on traffic and time of day.
SuperShuttle Manhattan, Tel. (800) 258 3826, offers a shared mini-bus that takes passengers to any point in Manhattan below 227th Street at any time, day and night. The one-way fare range is $15, with discounts for additional passengers, depending on traffic and time of day.
By Public Transportation:
The M60 Bus (MTA-New York City Transit) departs from all terminals to Manhattan with connections to the N, W subway lines (both in Queens) and with connections along 125th Street in Manhattan to the 4,5,6 trains, the 1,2,3 and the A,C and B,D subway lines as well as other local bus lines. Bus and subway fares are $2.00 per ride (exact change in coins or MetroCard required). The 4,5,6 trains serve Manhattan’s East Side and the M15 bus runs South-bound down Second Avenue and North-bound up First Avenue. A transfer from the M60 to the subway or to another bus line is free within two hours. Ask the bus driver for a free transfer.
