Research and Clinical Interests

Dr. Waisman served as a Co-Director of a NIH conference on on aspiration biopsy of breasts and recently on a subcommittee at the NIH conference on aspiration biopsy of the thyriod gland. He has published extensively on series of aspiration biopsies at multiple superficial sites and case reports of unusual findings upon aspiration biopsy. Earlier he focused upon urologic cancer, electron microscopy (diagnostic and experimental), and connective tissue structure and formation.
