Research and Clinical Interests

Dr. Oweity is interested in performing and interpreting Fine Needle Aspiration Biopsies of various organs, particularly lymph nodes and thyroid. She is also interested in the general pathology and cytopathology of the gastrointestinal tract and pancreas, especially neoplasms. She has a special interest in the diagnosis of amyloid on fat pad aspirate.
