Research and Clinical Interests
Dr. Mongini has a long-standing interest in examining how human B cell function is regulated through receptors for antigen and innate immune system-derived co-stimuli. Her present studies focus on mechanisms whereby BAFF- and APRIL-promoted COX-2/PGE2 expression in B lymphocytes contributes to autoimmunity and to the pathogenesis of CLL.
