Research and Clinical Interests
Dr. Melamed's clinical and research interests are in Uropathology. He directs the prostate cancer tissue bioresource at NYU, and focuses his research on studies of new markers on human tissue, using tissue microarrays. His interest is in early pathogenesis of prostate cancer and in diagnostic modalities that assist in surgical pathology. Additionally, he is interested in quality assurance and improvement measures in surgical pathology.
