Research and Clinical Interests

Dr. Barisoni's clinical interests are 1) non-tumoral renal diseases and 2) amyloidosis in renal and non renal specimens. Her research interests include 1) Podocytopathies (minimal change nephropathy, focal segmental glomerulosclerosis, diffuse mesangial sclerosis and collapsing glomerulopathy): diagnostic criteria, genetic and biomarkers and 2) Lupus nephritis: biomarkers of disease progression and response to therapy.
